Born and raised in the Capital Region, Jaci Oskam is a product of the Bethlehem Central School system, where she played on the varsity basketball team for four years. During her tenure, she contributed to a sectional championship victory and attracted attention from 60 different schools across all divisions, ultimately becoming a McDonald's All American nominee. In her spare time, Jaci initiated her coaching career by mentoring young basketball players at the local YMCA.
After high school, Jaci accepted a full athletic scholarship to attend Division 1 Quinnipiac University in 2011. However, due to injuries, she transferred to Pace University in 2014 to complete her collegiate career. While at Pace, Jaci continued to play basketball and earned a master's degree in public administration. During this period, she also coached the Albany Lady Stars alongside Bryan Capitula and Antoine Morrison.
Following a three-year stint as a Division 3 coach at Washington College in Maryland, Jaci returned to her hometown to be closer to her family. When at home while serving as an assistant coach at Holy Names, She then established her own basketball training enterprise, Jaci O. Basketball. Jaci currently serves as an assistant coach at Albany Academy.
